The touristic region Kronplatz / Plan de Corones  is known all over the world for its 119 km of slopes in all levels of difficulty equipped with 31 ultra-modern ski lifts, 70 km of ciclable paths for mountain bikes + 25 km of MTB-downhill tracks and 45km trails for hiking and trekking.
At the mountain-summit people can enjoy a spectacular 360 degree panoramic view over the Dolomites -> click on the tab "Winter" and then on the square "Panoramablick TV Turm". Also different webcams of the surroundings are displayed, during summer as also during winter.

The main cable-cars are operative during summers too. The connecting roads and the majority of the trails are accessible by bike. For lovers of extreme sports there are different downhill tracks available, not far away from where the “Giro d’Italia” got through in 2008 and 2010.

In between nature and different activities

The hotel is located on the sunny side of the "Kronplatz / Plan de Corones" hill, right beside a ski slope, MTB paths and downhill tracks which start from the top reaching the "Furcia" highland. Descending the other sides you reach Valdaora and Riscone (near to the small city of Brunico, Val Pusteria / Pustertal).

The traditional and picturesque villages of S. Vigilio di Marebbe (west) and Valdaora (east), respective in Val Badia/Gadertal and Val Pusteria/Pustertal, are in the immediate nearby.

Willing to find out more about the cultural background?

Museums, centres, historical villages and other cultural institutions will try to get you closer to the variety of cultures and to the long history of the area.

In some minutes drive you easily reach to the museum of the natural park Fanes/Sennes/Braies in San Vigilio, the ethnographic ladin/rheto-romanic museum "Ciastel de Tor" in San Martino in Badia and the provincial museum of customs and traditions in Teodone near to Brunico.

3 natural parks + 3 Zinnen-peaks + Braies lake and lot others

The skiing area of "Plan de Corones" borders directly with 3 large and strictly protected naural parks: the Fanes-Senes-Braies, the Reiserfernen-Ahrn and the Puez-Odles.

Here an impressive and almost untouched landscape with a rich flora and fauna can be admired. If you are lucky you might spot a marmot or even a golden eagle.

After a few tens of kilometers you reach the 3 Zinnen, the Braies lake and a lot of others.

Finding out more about the culture of South Tirol

The neighbouring small town of Brunico and its fascinating historical old town center, offers several opportunities for shopping, cultural entertainment and for enjoying idyllic events and celebrations.

You will find expeienced sport and clothing shops and a wide range of goods from the local and tyrolean tradition like Tyrolean loden, handicrafts, local food, spirits (schnaps), beer and wine.

A hike in the valley of mills at Longiarü is recommended.

Once you reach the villages of "SAN VIGLIO DI MAREBBE" or "VALDAORA"

Follow the indications direction Furcia-Pass/Furkelpass (brown colored street signs).
Once at the top of the pass, you see the hotel about hundred meters left (seen from the street) from the cableway RUIS that leads directly on top of Kronplatz.


Take the exit called Bressanone.
Continue to Brunico (Val Pusteria).
When your getting close to San Lorenzo di Sebato (shortly before Brunico), turn right towards Val Badia (Corvara).
After the galleries, turn left towards San Vigilio di Marebbe.


Follow A27-Belluno-Cortina d'Ampezzo highway.
Continue to Dobbiaco.
At Dobbiaco turn left towards Brunico.
When your getting close to San Lorenzo di Sebato (shortly before Brunico), turn left towards Val Badia (Corvara).
After the tunnels, turn left towards San Vigilio di Marebbe.


The nearest train station is in "San Lorenzo di Sebato" (about 15 km from San Vigilio), which is directly connected with the bus station, where the bus drives towards San Vigilio.


The nearest airports (which offer low-cost flights, too) are in Verona, Milano, Venezia/Treviso, Bologna and Bayern München.

-> When you arrive at the crossroad at the beginning of the village of S. Vigilio, turn towards direction Furcia-pass. After about ten minutes you will see the signs of the hotel, which is located at the left side of the street.
